Immunizations for preventable childhood/adult diseases are available for eligible children and adults during our regular immunization clinic hours (see Calendar of Events) or call us for an appointment.

Influenza (also known as the flu) is a respiratory illness caused by flu viruses that can spread easily from person to person. Influenza can cause mild to severe illness. Symptoms usually are fever and cough or sore throat, and may also include headache, extreme tiredness, runny or stuffy nose, or muscle aches. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea can also occur, especially in children.
What can you do? Get vaccinated! Everybody age 6 months and older should get influenza vaccine every year.

COVID-19 is a viral infection that may appear 2 to 14 days after initial exposure. Symptoms may range from mild to severe and possibly include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
Those that are at more of a risk of infection include older adults, immunocrompromised individuals, those with medical conditions, individuals with asthma and pregnant women.
The best way to protect yourself and your family is to get vaccinated and get up to date boosters. Those that are age 6 months and older should get vaccinated for COVID-19 annually.

All Children through 18 years of age are eligible for VFC vaccines. All clients must have the appropriate designation in order to qualify for the vaccine Prevnar and Menactra.

Vaccines offered include flu, pneumonia, Td (Tetanus, diphtheria), Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. Vaccines for travelers are also available by request. Fees do apply for these vaccines. Call the Health Department for further information and/or to schedule an appointment.
